Sorry if its the wrong section
Hi all. Hope you can be of some help. Just got notified by UPS that a gun I ordered on line has been sent to customs in Cork. Having never dealt with customs can anyone let me know the drill on what is going to happen. The gun is within regs ie. under 1jl . Wanted to try it in my own back garden before joining any clubs. Tried a few games in Florida this summer with some great weapons and really enjoyed it . Hope someone out there was in a similar position with customs and can help. Many thanks in advance :D

same situ here, x2 meu's from rsov handed to gardai from customs in shannon for testing. happened two weeks ago , called customs twice and the station once, same ans from both...."ah dat'll be a while yet i'd say"...great. The detective actually said it takes around 2-3 months! wtf. No one seems to know where they are, whats happening, how long it will take. All i get it is "we have your number" and they dont want to know about it when I offer to send in the signed invoice and deceleration of fps/power from rsov.

Wouldn't mind but these jokers wouldn't take it if the shoe was on the other foot. Imagine them taking their car to the only mechanic in town and being told oh ya that'll take around 2-3 months maybe. Sound lads.

Call customs in cork, call the station they handed it into. Myself I have also sent a garda ombudsman complaint in and contacted the I.A.A so waiting to hear form both. Will post up as soon as I hear anything, maybe it will help?
