As I type this Im watching a coast guard chopper shine its spotlight down onto the cliffs of the South facing side of Drumanagh. (between Loughshinny and rush)

I hope none of the kids that were drinking there have gone and hurt themselves =/

Anyone get any info? let us know.

edit: A boat has arrived at the scene, and the chopper has circled off North, looks to be turning back around though.

Last I saw of the chopper, it was hovering over that crescent where you can turn down to Loughshinny or continue to Skerries, Im thinkin whoever they were following/escorting made it to the roads and were ok from there, because shortly after that it turned, flew out to sea and went back South past me (Rush Harbour).

    My sentiments exactly briany.

QOTSA90 As I type this Im watching a coast guard chopper shine its spotlight down onto the cliffs of the South facing side of Drumanagh. (between lusk and rush) Loughshinny and Rush I think you mean.

Saw the action. Most likely its an exercise. Are some Irish coastguards based in Skerries? Gardái were looking from Rush Harbour and dwere not aware of anything happening.

The town seems very quiet as I walk my dog.

So you think someone was lost or in trouble down there? I thought I saw two torch beams and a set of rear lights down there on the ground.

From what I have just heard, some lad walked into the water near drummanagh after consuming a few to many pints (cans) Someone panicked and called emergency services. If that is so what a waste.

Well I wonder if that is so, was he just strolling in the surf or did he go full on into the tide to have an ill advised drunken swim? If the latter is true well then better safe than sorry even if it was overkill.
