Change in Appstore terms and conditions removed cydia?

    Hello,

I just tried to download an app from the appstore, it advised me that the terms and conditions had changed, i had a quick look over them, hit agree, then poof

Cydia, Winterboard everything just dissappeared. Not only that but all my apps (appstore apps and otherwise) where housed in "categories" (which is an app from cydia)

Ill emphasise that im using a winterboard enabled theme, which hasn reverted back to the default, my face carrier is still in place and most importantly my unlock is still there (im on meteor), it just seems that cydia etc. has dissappeared.

Does anyone have any ideas how i could revert this problem. Obviously, re-jailbreaking the phone could work, but if possible i'd like to avoid that.

Any info would be a help

I have had a lot of trouble with Winterboard to the point where I removed it as the iPhone got too slow. The "Categories" app seemed to have caused a lot of the trouble for some reason.

If I ever have problems now with Apps not working, I delete one of my free App Store Apps, re-boot the iPhone, download the free app again and hey presto everything works again!

I don't know if this will work for you here, but my advice is to stay away from winterboard if you want a trouble free iPhone

Sorry for piggybacking on this, but as I'm getting the same message when I'm attempting to download from the Appstore, I'm wary about doing so! They're not essential Apps that I'm looking to download, and I don't have Winterboard, or any Cydia Apps (other than Ultrasnow), but I'm worried about losing my unlock (even though it didn't hapeen to Davey), and my ability to download Cydia Apps (esp. backgrounder) in the future...any one else have similar issues?

Accepting new terms and conditions cannot stop your unlock facility.
You need to update the Iphones Firmware for apple to be able to disable your unlock facility.

So until Iphone dev team give the go ahead to use the new update from apple dont and your unlock facility will remain intact.

So you can go ahead and accept the terms and conditions that is merely updating your account deatils on their servers rather than updating anything on your phone.

"Accepting new terms and conditions cannot stop your unlock facility."

I thought that myself, but when reading what happened to Davey I became wary (as I said!). Just seems strange that all that happened to him, just after accepting the new t+c's...

I've updated Apps on my iPhone directly and updated in iTunes and sync'd without any problems. Cydia remains and phone continues to be unlocked. I'm using a 3Gs with fw 3.0.1. Stay away from updating 3.1 which reverses the unlock.
