Confused on wedding gift?

    Hi my partners brother is getting married soon and we are confused as to how much money to give. What would be the going amount nowadays? I was thinking a gift too or should we just give cash? Any answears would be greatly appreciatted!

    to be honest i think if its you partners brother get them to ask their parents if possible other wise id say about 100-200 would be about all anyone would expect. as for pressie id say one or the other money or gift money would probably be better in my opinion. hope that helps

    I think it really depends on what your partner can afford. Often family members give a lot more than other guests.

    For example, my fiances sister got married last year. The oldest sister who has a great job and is fairly high up in it gave them €1000 :eek:. My fiance and his brother (who are just starting out their careers) gave €200 each.
