Sold A laptop on Ebay - Need Help

    Hi there folk, so i sold a laptop on ebay. One of my things to ever sell. The seller is from America and I wondering

    (A) How much would it cost to send it to maryland america
    (B) Could It be a scam, Im very paranoid as i only put it up last nite on buy it now and its going to america??

    55 euro's postage about, guessing around 4kg max ?

    Would DHL be any cheaper ya think??

    I didn;t have postage for us posted . Does this mean he can pull out when he hears what shipping is??

    make sure you have registered and tracked postage - so you can monitor it en route.

    DHL might be a safer (but more expensive option) ..... as other poster said - wait till you get the money (in your hand) before you actually post it - even if it means waiting a couple of days for it to clear - get them to contact you by phone or contact them by phone

    It's a scam unless your laptop sold so cheaply that the USD to EUR ratio would make it cheaper (highly unlikely).

    No one in the US would want a UK/Irish keyboard, the price would be more expensive here than the US, the postal costs would also be prohibitive. Ergo, it's a scam.

    Tell him you don't post internationally, and since you hadn't got a price listed, that's pretty true. Re-list as UK/Ireland only. Check the price of postage before you put in the auction, include the price of packing, and use far too much packing. You can never be too careful, and if it gets damaged in the post, you're screwed.
