I lost my GUI card on monday it was in my wallet which i lost after a major session. Do i need the card for comps? I know my membership number will this be enough to enter comps in other golf clubs?

It depends on the club. A lot of clubs let you put in the number, but in my home club you have to have the card because the competition entry fee is debited from the card.

How does that work? Like a prepay system is it?

Most of the clubs let you use your number. I've lost my GUI card before so I went to the office in my club and asked them for a new one. They usually take 2 or 3 days to come. The fee is €10.

We get €50 on the card at the start of the year for the bar and competitions and you can top-up whenever you want. You get a 10% discount in the bar for using the card too. It's very handy.

Some clubs have machines that you insert the card into just like a chip and pin machine.
