UPC DVR HDD

    Hi,

    Does anyone know how to remove recorded stuff from the hdd, i have the following box UPC_DVR_AB_lowres.jpg

    which has a usb slot and an ethernet slot on the back, ive tried attaching an external hdd but the box doesnt see it. Im guessing the recorded stuff is copyrighted or encrypted but im hoping someone might know a way!!

    Connect something to the SCART output (VCR/DVD recorder/Video Capture card) and "play" them is the only option...

    is it not possible to open the digibox up and remove the hdd and then connect it to a pc?

    Different O/S store data in difference formats, no one has (as yet) written drivers to allow windows (or Linux/MaxOS/CPM) to access the drive.

    Also the files are encrypted..

    It'd be against the terms of contract I'm sure to tamper with equipment that isn't yours.

    As GerardKeating says, the files are encrypted anyway.
