Vote Turd for Lisbon

Okay, so there is alot of talk about this Lisbon thing going on. Quite a few avid Yes voters....quite a few avid No voters. But what about the un-decided? What about the people who don't care enough to pick either Yes or No. Well I have a third option for you (or rather a turd option). For the mass un-decideds out there you can do what I will be doing come that faithfull polling day. When I am in that little cubicle looking at that slip of paper, instead of ticking one of the two boxes that they have so carefully laid out for me, I shall be writing TURD FERGUSON in big bold letters and making my own box for that particular option. Then I will tick that box and depending on my mood I may even draw a little cartoon penis too.

So fellow boards peoples, if you are sick of all the Yes and No propaganda and you don't really care which way it goes....vote for me istead.

    Thank you for your time.

This post has been paid for by the Turd Ferguson for Lisbon Party, in association with the League of Pedobears for Sexier Children

If it so important why are we being giving a choice to vote on it, twice even?
The only right answer is yes, no is a fake option.

99% of other EU countries just passed it outright and didn't give anyone else a choice.

We didn't treat the end of the world seriously, so I don't think that Lisbon's out of bounds for merry quips.:P

I was gonna vote yes, then I read all the "better than thou" posts from the Yes campaigners here, so I decided to vote No, then I read all the ridiculous reasons behind that, so i decided to be undecided, then i read this thread, so I'm gonna vote Turd

I dont wish to "acheive" anything and yes I am going to "waste my time" by doing this. And maybe you dont get my "purpose" but there are quite a few people that do and those are the "people" that I am writing this for.

Technically the French and the Dutch voted no also so their respective parliaments said "**** you" to the electorate and ratified it anyway. Ireland voted no so they say "not good enough." You must vote again. This is a democracy?

    Dear Turd,

Despite being very commited to the cause, vote spoiling just doesn't go far enough for me. I want to really make an impact at the voting office.

So on October 2nd, while all of you will be spoiling your votes, I am going casually walk into the polling booth and soil mine.

Hopefully all will go to plan. If not, I wish you all the best with your campaign.

    Your comrade in turd,
    Vinylmesh.

    I did.:)

If a nation was ill informed or has had a change of heart then the government has every right to call another referendum. The 1987 supreme court ruling does not say anything about how many times or over what period these choices can be put to the people.

In this case 51% of the voting population had a say and 53% of those voting said NO, this means that only 27% of the voting public actually said NO....

A decision to have another Vote was taken after because it is widely believed (and yet to be proven) that the No campaign was waged using smoke and mirrors with many half truths and downright lies.
The government equally have to take the blame for this because as usual they showed how useless they are and how far removed from us citizens they have become. This is the probably the main reason people voted NO and not the reason for the vote in the first place.

So implying that having another vote is somewhat undemocratic is idiotic and not clever or funny

Apologies Young Turd for dragging this wonderfull thread into the sewer......... we call Irish politics

Vote yes..... or TURD (if you want to have a swipe at the Fiana Failures)

Absolutely retarded post from the OP. Get real pal. If you're just going to take the piss when asked an important question, maybe you shouldn't be living in a democracy.

As for voting twice on Lisbon, research done after the last one revealed that the majority of Irish people didn't actually know what it was they were voting on. So, yes, their answer was invalid.

And finally, voting No to punish the government is highly inadvisable in the middle of the country's worst recession in decades. We need friends right now, not enemies.
