Trading in games

    Apologies mods if this is in the wrong place.

    Recently, with a special thanks to mrs dodger, i have up graded to a ps3 80gb. This has left me with a considerable number of ps2 games that are now pretty much useless to me.

    So, just a quick question.

    Gamestop and xtravision do trades, but do they accept ps2 games as trade-in's for ps3 games?

    I have checked their respective site but couldnot find anything conclusive.

    They did last time I checked... but! You get nothing, I got offered 90c for timesplitters 2 in gamestop. Sell em on adverts.ie for €5 or less a game.

    Didn't realise they offered so little:(. Was hoping to bulk up my meagre collection of ps3 games early doors.


    Might send mrs d off to the local boot sale with them so.

    I rang up Gamestop to trade in a PS2 (fat version, they seem to love the slim), 4 controllers and 80 games! I was told I'd probably get offered in the region of 70-100 so I decided to hang on to them all.

    I always look at it that if I saw the price I was being offered for my games what would I think and for that price I'd think I was getting a bargain, so no trading in my PS2 stuff.
