Tuning NTL analogue C4, E4, & Discovery in D8?

    Hi all,

    I'm in the Inchicore area in Dublin 8 and am curious to know if anyone else is finding it impossible to tune C4, E4, & Discovery since they changed the frequencies a few months ago? NTL Customer no-service (sorry DingDong ;)) gave me 523.25 & 471.25 MHz as the C4 & E4 frequencies respectively but neither register anything but white noise on my Samsung LE32R82 and nor does an autoscan beyond Living TV detect anything.

    Would anyone know what the channel numbers should be? (ie Cxx/Sxx etc)

    All other channels are fine but NTL Customer no-service want me to disrupt my job by waiting at home all day for an engineer may/may not come in and try to prove that I don't know how to tune my own TV... a bit harsh of me maybe?

    Did you get the TV from a UK retailer? If so, it probably doesn't have the correct tuner.

    These work for me in Dolphins Barn:-

    C4 - 543
    E4 - 471
    Discovery - 575

    The only channel I have a problem with is BBC2

    I bought the TV off Komplett.ie a couple of years ago but prior to the change all the channels were tunable no problem.

    rockal, I'll test those freqs tonight but won't hold out much hope tbh as they are within the Autoscan range but it passes them by... I try a manual tune of the C4 & Discovery freqs as they appear different to what I was provided before.

    whats
    bbc2 for ntl
    have to set that one manually for some reason

    our dvdr stopped working last night, no signal, wonder was it cos of the changes in the uk, anyway retuning now..
