Anyone catching any? I was out on a bit of duck recon today and was thinking that anyone hoping to knock a few wildfowl or game birds this season should be doing a small bit against the vermin as well.

I've not any traps out as yet, but am waiting on some wire mesh to make tunnels for number 116 body grip traps for my old mate minky.

    What's everyone else up to?

    did my bit last week.
Went one evening on the lookout for mallards and came back with a fox.

We bought the "Big Cheese" mink traps for €26 each through our RGC vermin control scheme, well designed, zinc coated traps.

Can't get near my usual mink spots due to the amount of water so they will have to wait.
Put the larsen traps back out last weekend still looking for that first call bird! Holding off on the ladder trap until things get a little colder. Looking foward to trying some deer carcass leftovers in that.
Back lamping the last 2 weeks due to so many foxes about, 8 in 3 nights so far

Greycrow or magpie? As I have magpies if you need one or two.

    Hey JohnGalway,
Ive been walking the bank at home all summer looking for the black c**ts with no luck really, only got one. But there are lots of them about and they look to have a handy run on one bank and another along a stream. How do you make those body traps you mention?

If there are any plans send them to me as I like to make traps when I can. Also my two mink traps where vandalised, so much for conservationists, and at least home made ones are cheaper to replace
