The Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu Winter Camp 2009, (www.koryu-uchinadi.com) will be taking place in Galway on the 5th and 6th of December 2009.

The two day camp will be given by Renshi Olaf Krey, 5th Dan Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu.

Day 1: Hakutsuru (White Crane) Sho Kata, full oyo-waza (applications) and accompanying two person drill.

The self-defence applications from Hakutsuru kata will address habitual acts of physical violence (HAPV).

The seminar will cover theory and practice of pressure points, joint locks, strangulations, takedowns, throws, grappling, and groundwork contained in the Hakutsuru kata.

Day 2: Kumi-bo, two person drills with the 6ft staff following the Yamane-ryu Kobudo discipline.

Yamane ryu bojutsu employs swift but powerful circular motion, a distinct pattern of twisting thrusts, vibrant body dynamics and pliable footwork, its pliable manner is consistent with the old-school Chinese based Uchinadi once practiced during Okinawa's old Ryukyu Kingdom.

Pre booking is essential, due to limited space, no bookings can be taken on the day.
