Here at work listening to music on my Ipod Nano that my mate bought back from Oz...:pac:

ah..that joys of an unrestricted ipod  no stupid volume limit and I can finally hear my music in all it's glory :D

Here in the EU Apple has to put a limit on their ipods (to prevent hearing damage :D ) and frankly it sucks..volume too low and 1,000s of people complain about it but it's EU law and Apple can't do jack about it.

So what have you bought in other countries that's miles better than anything you can buy in Ireland?

Get a decent pair of headphones and you won't have issues with the noise level on an EU iPod. Having said that all mine have been de-restricted but before I do so to the ones bought in the EU I never had an issue. A set of in ear headphones is all you need.

My good headphones sound better on my unrestricted iPod.

My problem is that you just can't get a load of good sh*t here, not that it's better (although for the most part it is cheaper) overseas.

Like Dr Pepper from the can. They really need to bring it out here.

    Steps(Windows)Enable hidden folders.
In Windows Explorer,go to "Tools", "Folder Options". Then click on the tab called "View", and under "Hidden Files and Folders", click "Show Hidden Files and Folders".
Navigate ("My Computer" to double-click on the icon of your attached iPod) to the hidden folder named "iPod_Control", and once there click on the folder "Device". Once there, copy the file named "_volumelocked" to a folder on your hard drive then delete it from the iPod.
Eject your iPod. Then, restart your iPod. You can do this by holding down the center and menu button for at least 6 seconds.
Once your iPod has rebooted, check and make sure that it worked. Simply go into "Settings", "Volume Limit". If it asks for a PIN, you did it WRONG. Retry the above procedure.

Cheap beer always tastes better. Especially when it's only 4 pound for three of the large bottles of Hoegaarden. Nom.

Strongbow is actually pretty sweet in Australia, it's not the junkie-magnet that tastes like piss that we have come to known here in Ireland.

Open your Ipod, get a small screwdriver and remove the small stop behind the volume controller. Sorted. :)

My iPod is loud enough for both me and those around me. The guy next to me incidentally was tapping his fingers to the drums on a song I was listening to last week. How much louder does it need to be?

A lot....listening to Iron Maiden on a Eu ipod is completely different to listening to it on a Non-Eu..by about 20 decibels I'd say :D

I wouldn't piss on a zen if it was on fire...I hate Creative with their poxy soundcards with a passion..from their crap drivers to disabling features that were previously standard and then having the cheek to charge extra for unlocking these so called extras... .fcuk you creative.

And we all know anyway...only poor people use zens...us upperclass intelligent super cool people use ipods...(at least that's what the apple gimps tell us :D )

    except the 3rd gen nano's..
They were impossible to break for some stupid reason...not sure about the 4th gen.
Sure you could get an app to increase the limit of the songs themselves...but that was no good when the ipod itself limited them

You can just get a program called Eupod that's free and sorts the volume problem out.

Boats. I hardly get to use mine because of the feckin' weather. I don't mind the rain, it's the wind that makes it unsafe/not fun. Then I get emails/pics from friends in the Med showing them swimming around in the water and having to use their 'bimini' canopy to cover them from the sun, as opposed to the rain :( In a few boat purchases time i'm moving it to the Med, feck this weather
