    Hi all,

I a currently looking at upgrading my laptop, obviously with the onset of Windows 7, i'm asking the elusive question, should i just wait??

i know that if i buy a new laptop now, i will get a free upgrade to Windows 7, but what i want to know is, will it effect the pc's performance that i have upgraded? i'm fairly good with pc's but have no idea on things like this, i was advised by one person that i should wait because it would be better to buy a pc made for windows 7 (supposedly it takes up less space)

will it make a difference, if i do a clean install on Oct, will it be the same as if i had bought a windows 7 laptop?

    help appreciated.

I'd wait too, if a laptop runs Vista ok (2GB RAM minimum, decent core 2 duo CPU if you're going for a performance one), it should work fine with W7.
Not sure about the less HD space, ~10-12GB for W7 on my machine minus My Documents size, I think Vista was similar.
