    hi folks

hope to be in Mayo at the end of the week. I plan to go from Westport out to Achill and back on day one and then day two go sth down by Louisburgh, Clifden & then loop back to Westport.

Any advice on the route, places to eat or stay would be appreciated.
    Any must see's??:)
Looking at B&B at end of day one, somewhere sth of Westport, e.g Louisburgh, if the legs get that far.

Think its 250 km all in, but I am going with a very light pannier set up

    Advice welcome.

Westport to Achill is fairly straight forward, the loop around the island is a great spin.
Unless you actually want to go to Clifden I would recommend the following.
Westport, Louisburgh, Leenane, Kilmilkin(you turn at the pottery/wool shop, Lough na Fooey, Maumtrasna,Tourmakeady, up Tourmakeady Hill, Aghagower,Westport,
Great climbs, Fantastic Scenery, Quiet roads and apart from a few miles after topping Tour Hill the Road surface is good.
Plenty of extra bits to add on if you want to go longer.

I stayed in the Ponderosa B&B in Louisburgh a couple of weeks ago. Owner tells me she gets a lot of cyclists staying there. Not a bad spot to stay.
