The Audi Facelift Bumper

Iv an 04 Audi A3 with the previous style front bumper/grill to the current gen. In 05 the changed it and as far as I can tell its only the bumper/grill that's changed. Anyone know if the new style bumper/grill can be retro fitted to the older models?

I ask because someone creamed my front bumper last week and I need a new one along with a few other bits in the front and I like the newer style. I'm getting quotes ATM and I've asked the question of an Audi garage but they haven't a concrete answer for me yet.

Look at www.audisport.net forum, you need a bumper, gril and bonnett, there's a thread in there somewhere with ta how to guide from one of the members who did it themselves !

The mounting points could be your greatest task to overcome and the positioning of the radiator and the headlights could be slightly different as even the smallest corrections will look completely off.

Apparently from the VAG Drivers.net forum the B7 A4 and B7 A4 S-line bumpers are very difficult to swap over because of the fog light area and the strut that passes on the LH side.

I was afraid the bonnet would need to be replaced, don't think my budget would stretch to that. Link is fubar but cheers.

    EDIT:

    Found it thanks:
