I can't say for definite but the bank you have your current account with may give you currency commission free as you are a customer. In term's of rate. Well really depend's. Every bank has a different rate every day so it might be worth your while to shop around. In term's of ordering really depend's on how much you want and if they have a stock of it. You could get it on the day or be waiting 1-2week's depending on the currency.

Just a heads up that I was looking for South American currency and was told that the main banks don't do it anymore and the only place to get it would be in the airport.

So if it's not a main currency then maybe give them a ring to see if they will actually do it.
