Anyone see the 'Indescribable' video by Louie Giglio? He uses a lot of statistics about the universe etc. and a lot of photos from the Hubble Space Telescope to stress the wonder and majesty of God the Creator. Very inspiring.

I think the whole thing is available on Youtube, but here's a trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV1ZpSMHIQw

I sure have. My pastor showed this video at my church some months back. It's very awe-inspiring and emotional. I downloaded the video and had the rest of my family watch it at home.

    I actually liked this,

Yes I wholly disagree with the religious idea behind it, but it offered many people an insight into the beauty of the cosmos.

Great book by E W Bullinger on the subject of the star names in the twelve constellations. I highly recommend this book to anyone even vaguely interested in this subject. And before you ask, no its not astrology.

With all due respect, but that Hugh Ross link seems to be baloney...

He's essentially saying that If I want to look at the face of God, all I have to do is switch to the static channel on my TV???

Mr Ross appears to be a creationist.

Ok, I'm sorry Soul, but both links you made reference to seemed to contain tripe.I have no problem with Christians believing the science backs up their faith, it's when the science is twisted/ignored, or worse, extrapolated to beyond beyonds that my meter kicks in...so sorry those links are baloney.

If you are interested in reading views that follow the actual science then I suggest reading -
    JD Barrow,
(I'll more as I can think of them... or perhaps others can help)

And that guy above Louie seemed ok in his 'indescribable' vid :)

Again, I've got no problem with saying science proof of God (I can give you plenty of those:)) my problem is when a concoction of pseudoscience and imaginative extrapolation is used.

    My thread has been hijacked.

Malty T & Robin, if you want to argue about creationism then take it to the BCP mutant monster thread.

Soul Winner, if you want to post apologetics stuff then I suggest you start a thread for that purpose.

The video presentation referred to in the OP isn't about arguing with anyone. It's simply Christians taking time to wonder at the immensity and complexity of the universe and so to give glory to the One who created it.

So are my links, hence the relevant links part of my post. Malty T + Rob, if you don't like them then don't click them, simple as, I don't care either way, they weren't posted to be debated, I just thought they were relevant to the OP. My mistake sorry...

Your link refers to Perry Marshal not Hugh Ross although Professor Ross is an 'Old Earth' Creationist but so what! All Christians are creationists if we define a creationist as someone who believes that the universe was created as apposed to it just spontaneously popping into existence by itself before even it existed. Anyway those are points that can and have been debated ad nauseam in many another thread.
