Cycled into the back of a car today.....not my fault - crossed from a side road into my lane and then jammed on the brakes because someone was crossing the road. Anyway when I got home I thought that looking at my steel forks from above that the left arm was slightly behind the right one. There are no marks on the forks otherwise. The wheel is spinning fine. Could the forks be damaged without showing external damage otherwise?

Thanks Mick......would make sense but I dont think you'd see much. Its just when looking at the fork from above that it looks a little offset. Am probably just imagining all of this

Not necessarily - it's actually pretty easy to bend your fork in a crash. It would be worth taking it into a decent shop and getting them to check it out - if it is bent, you're probably best advised to replace it.
