I have an 01 primera hearing a clicking sound from the rear driverside wheel. I noticed it stops when you lift the hand brake a little so i tightened it, this made no difference. Anyone have any Ideas????

clicking sound? Front wheel or back? But is it the oily bits just cooling down after a drive?

When do you hear the noise, cornering, full lock etc? is the car stationery when you pull the handbrake? :pac:

    Thanks for the replies.
I Hear the noise while driving and if you lift the handbrake a little while driving it stops for a minute or two after you release it. Hence i tought it might be the handbrake tightened that didnt make difference.Checked the boots on the front recently there perfect so i dont think its the cv joints. Had new pads fitted about 3k miles ago and discs seem ok.

I'm not a mechanic BTW. Just sharing my experience. Easy enough to see - jack up wheel and see if it spins freely with handbrake off. Make sure you have car suitably stablised by other means in case it rolls.
