Trying to put a name to a colour

    Looking for a bit of help here. I'm looking for the name of this colour, or a colour that would be very similar to this.

    I was more so looking for an actual colour name, ie. one that's on a car as it's going to end up going on one!

    Toyota shades similar to it would be

    Brocade red (3N0) Corolla Verso & Avensis

    Deep Amethyst (9AH) Urban Cruiser and iQ

    didn't MB and Audi have a similar colour too. For some reason cherry black comes to mind but i could be miles off. Think it was one of those special audi colours that you can order and pay through the nose for

    I had an Audi the same colour or very similar, it's gone now so can't get the code i'm afraid.

    Colour reminds me of one Audi did years ago called Berry Pearl (LZ4W). It may have been a Lifestyle colour, not sure. That Beetle colour looks something in between purple and burgundy. Has a bit of both going on.

    While alot of those VW's are repainted a modern factory OEM colour of any given marque, many get special paint mixed, the likes of House of Kolor.

    If I were you, I would keep an eye out on the road of car colours you like and maybe get lots of new car brochures and pick something from that. On a Beetle due to the shape of the various bodypanels, a dark metallic or pearl effect colour will always look darker than on more modern cars which are less curvy. Less sunshine here as well, which doesn't help in bringing out the colour hue.
