First of all I have free to air.I have a skybox downstairs and two of the bedrooms upstairs are wired up with a magic eye to enable satellite viewing. The problem is you have to watch the same channels as downstairs.

Could anyone advise if I bought another skybox for up stairs , should I be able to watch the channels independantly to downstairs?

Presuming you just intend to use the box for free channels, then yeah, it'd work. Though you'd need a cable going from bedroom to dish for the new box (and possibly a quad LNB if you do not already have one).

Yip the free channels I was after. Just tried it there with another skybox and I got the message that no satellite signal available so Im guessing there is no cable from the bedrooms to the dish :( It still only shows the sat channels that was showing downstairs.
