ps3/blueray

i got a ps3 about 2 years ago to watch blue ray discs on which worked fine for a while,however after a while anytime i tried to watch one they would'nt play,what kept comming up on the screen was ethernet cable is not connected,someone told me i might have to update thr ps3,does anyone on here know how to do this,any advice is much apreciated,

if its just used to watch blu rays, go to settings and down to network, scroll down to internet connection and select disable, might work then

You'll need to connect your PS3 to the internet - do you have a wireless or wired router?

You can do it from your pc as well. Just go to:

and transfer it to your PS3

ye u can do what aaron says, just download it from the playstation site, save it to ur pc. then transfer it to a memory stick and then transfer it to yur PS3. but to be honest, i find it redicilious that media players have to be updated,:D

yeah its daft. u wanna watch a DVD and its locked - however it does serve as a wake-up call to those with no internet by now. sometimes u gotta force these things on peeps
