Where to advertise in Dublin?

So, I went to Waltons music store and was trying to place an ad saying that I'm looking for a band. One of the guys working there told me that I simply can't do it. I've been in many music stores across Europe and I have to say that Waltons is the very first music shop I've ever seen that has no ad board... Strange.

Anyways, what's the best place in Dublin to advertise in?

    Thanks in advance.

    Boards of course! :)

Seriously though i've always had great sucess with well known community website. Other than that mc cullough piggot on south william street always have ads up, i think musicmaker might let you not sure. Simons café opposite Waltons is a real muso's hangout.

    good luck

Music Maker on Exchequer Street has a board you can pin ads to, only place left in Dublin that does it that way, musicians contacts are limited to the web these days, sadly, even Hot Press which used to have pages of musician ads is reduced to half a page and the rest is lonely hearts ads!

    Thanks.

Well, I'll be avoiding Waltons in the future. They won't make a penny on me, that's for sure.
