Rather than selling our books to the SU for pennies how about a direct one to one offers thread here?

No conversation on thread apart from haggling and asking questions about the books, eg which edition it is.

Okay folks get wheeling and dealing!:D

Mods; I don't think this conflicts with adverts.ie or any other thread as its specifically a TCD issue, feel free to correct me though

Can't commit to buying anything just yet though, consider it competitive advertising;)

That sounds great! I'm planning on taking full maths but I'll be doing Chemistry so I'll pm you if I feel the need to commit to getting them

Okay thats cool, both are in perfect nick, no writing or anything on them. They come with a cd that lets you use online resources too.

Oh yeah, its generally Campbell for Biology which I'd def recommend getting, its used for both JF and SF

I have this book http://www.amazon.com/Chemistry-Molecular-Nature-Matter-Change/dp/0077216504 (has a different cover because it's the international students version) if anyone wants to buy it. I preferred it over Kotz but you might want to look at both first to see which you would rather use.

I've Gerard McHugh's 'Introduction to Organisation and Management' for sale for anyone doing Introduction to Organisation and Management (BESS, MSISS, Business Studies & a Language). I'll sell it for half whatever it costs in the shops because I have no idea how much I paid for it. It's in good condition, with some pages featuring notes written in the margins which I like to think adds value :p.

As a general note probably to the hatred of everyone trying to sell books but the Library in Trinity is fantastic, so you don't really need to buy textbooks. Maybe for the Sophistor years, but I wouldn't buy anything for the Freshman years.

I've got 'Calculus' - Anton, Bivens & Davis - 8th edition. (The big hardcover one with the stupid cyclists on the front!) Amazon UK
Recommended text for Science and Engineering calculus modules for freshman years afaik.
Like new. (Seriously! Hardly opened this book. Hate maths!)
Got it last October from Hodges Figgus for just under 60euro, not continuing maths this year.
    PM if interested.

Looking for JF Calculus (Anton,Bivens and Davis) and Linear Algebra (Anton and Rorres) if anyone is selling them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 94 ✭✭Rorate Caeli

I have two boxes of theology books which I want to get rid of. Lots of primary texts including Josephus, Dead Sea Scrolls, Nag Hammadi, apocrypha, early Christian writings. Some editions of the International Critical Commentary. Books on liberation theology and other course subjects. Books by Profs Freyne, Junker-Kenny and probably some of the others. Also Hans Kung, Guiterrez and other heretics. You can have the lot for 120 quid if you can pick them up from Dublin 3. There are probably 60 books.

Also a Biblia Hebraica Stutgartensia separately for 40 euro.

    Send a private message.

Also lots of issues of Bible Review and Biblical Archaeology Review.
