Hey. Hoping someone might be able to help.

I'm an irish student and im going to be starting a course in Scotland shortly. When i inquired about opening a student bank account in Scotland, i was being told different things by different people. So I ended up opening an Ulsterbank Student account in the North of Ireland. I am now wondering how i am going to get money i have changed to sterling into my account when i get to scotland because there are no Ulsterbank branches in Scotland. (the northern bank is a six hour drive away, so currently its not an option to drive all the way back up to lodge the money).

Is it possible to go into Royal Bank of Scotland or Natwest and get have them lodge the money into my ulsterbank account???

    Please help!!

Ulster Bank is a subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), so I imagine that a RBS branch could do a credit transfer. If you have Sterling cheques etc you can also post them to your branch.
