Just wanted to know if Chorus NTL actually enforce that 3 cent per MB charge once you go past your download limit for a month. I've heard that you'll receive a warning and the possibility of being 'upgraded' to a superior package?

DL limit is 30 GB and have gone quite a bit above that this month.

    ;)

Have never heard of anyone being charged this. If they throttle you for going above the 30 gig (you need to have gone way above, over double or more) just upgrade to next package (10mb unlimited?) and the throttle will be removed immediately.

Sorry, throttle? Is that a 'tech' term or just the act of physically grabbing me by the neck and shaking?

Well with ntl you don't haave any way pof checking how much you download/upload with them, you have to use your own software.
but if you're planning on downloading more than 30gig, just upgrade to the 10meg, its not much in the diff and more than 3 times faster

it means they can slow down your download speeds which will make downloading slow and difficult. Instead of getting 3mb or whatever you're on you could only get a small percentage of that.
