still 9-6 after 58mins. both teams have missed a few chances they should have gotten tries from. Esp OZ, although great last ditch tackles from SA.

Gits should have passed inside off his break in the first half. step outside was wrong option..

about time they got one, 3 try efforts over the line ruled out. was starting to look like it wasn't their day. SA not really looking up for it now that they are well ahead in table.

Lovely try, so simple but the execution was brilliant. The commentator put it well, have 4 attackers running at 3 defenders and just make sure you pass it to the right man.

Penalty Oz missed by Giteau.

Stupid mistakes by SA.

SA looked tired, out of ideas and scrum not up to its usual standards.

yeah, game has gone very scrappy. amazin stat there, 88% of possession in last 10 to Oz.

SA haven't looked that bothered since half time.

ON the upside, Barnes having a great game with the whistle.

Game over now, great try. Pressure by the Aussies for last 15 mins has been amazing.

Boks' inability to put together a run of phases in attack was really telling when they were required to chase the game.

If they have a weakness, I think that's it. They're awesome in tight games but they're not necessarily set up to go forward and get a score if they really need it.

So, all we need in the autumn internationals is a two score lead and then they should fall right into our hands :rolleyes:

Game over, Aussies win 22 - 9. Delighted for them, thoroughly deserved and with the age profile of that squad... RWC 2011 is going to be very interesting indeed.

Well the Aussies have shown the way, pressure, pressure and more pressure for 80 minutes and you can beat the Boks.

Twas a much better game than the previous Tri Nations games aswell imo.

The Aussies could be there or thereabouts for the next World Cup. Ashley Cooper, O Connor, Genia Mitchell etc could come good with more experience and the back 5 is very mobile and strong. The old lets laugh at the austraian scrum quip has been put to bed aswell.

great game,oz played great,boks foward defence is amazing,but their backline defence is pretty bad

Ah that's a bit harsh.

In fairness having watched the Lions Tour it was fairly obvious the South Africans have some glaring weaknesses, I've been truly impressed with the fact that they play so well no-one usually gets to exploit them.

Fair fcuks to the Aussies, shame they didn't get their lucky break earlier.

Totally deserved win for the Aussies. Agree with other posts, they showed what you can do against the SAfricans if you pressure them, and force them to chase the game. In fairness, SA played some rugby in the first half but went back to their tediuos kicking game in the second half, hoofing into the sky even good ball, though they didn't get much. They kind of fell apart in the end. NZ will be gunning for them next week.

i suppose. i just have taken a serious dislike to them lately. dont like that bakkies botha at all
