    Hi
I backed up my imac 3 days ago on leopard without any problems.
I installed snow leopard yesterday and now i can't back up.
It says disk is been disconnect which is not or when it does start to back up its copying over at bytes so that will take forever.

    Anyone got any ideas here

    thanks

I found this with my first experience of time machine (upgraded from tigger) this week. However, it sped up after a short (ish) time.

It was slow over wireless so I plugged in ethernet, which did the 6gb initial backup in an hour or so - can't remember exactly.

Just checked my time machine, it seems to be going ok.

Have you checked the settings to see if they have been altered after the SL installation.
