You'll be searching for a while... A friend of mine is in the army and he said they sent all the late 90's Patrol's to be crushed.

Looking for a mini pickup, any condition. Could be a total rust bucket to a complete car. Irish reg preferable. Thanks Noel.

I am a little surprised that the army crushed them, there is always an overseas market for stuff like that, even RHD.

Over twenty years ago The Irish Army got loads of old TK (KM) bedfords rebuilt , getting panels in the cabs and all welded up.
I used visit the garage where it was done.

Years later I was passing a yard in the UK which sold ex army stuff for export. Here I was looking at some of the Irish lorries. it was possible to mistake British army registrations with some Irish post 87 regs , e.g. 87 KE 58 could be both.

    Regards,
    Rugbyman

    Very original in good condition.

    Mileage is 80K

Engine is 3.4 straight six, gearbox is auto.

Interior is tan cloth - not hacked around, original radio, wheel and gauges.

Exterior is arctic white, previously old english white, needs very minor cosmetics

Chrome is fair to good - could benefit from a new rear quarter bumper

Ex-UK but registered in Ireland on a 78 LS plate.

Could benefit from new tyres, has original wheel hubs and the full wheel hubs.

needs new driving light as original has de-chromed.

€1,500 as is for quick sale (I'm emigrating).

PLease PM me for details, thank you.

What colour is the interior and any wear on the seats etc? Do you have the windscreen?
    Tnx

Interior is a brown/gold velour colour. There is the usual small wear on the drivers bolster , other than that the interior on the 280ce is good. The windscreen is intact and seems good.

I'd take the "full engine rebuild" out of the add, might turn off a few potential buyers. Also, from experience, cars seem to sell off dondeal in the first few days. I'd also put in search words like Clio etc. Should help the sale :)

    Not Your Ornery Onager

Didn't want to start a new thread for this.

There is a bargain bookshop on George's St D2 near the junction with Exchequer St which has a Haynes Restoration Manual for Escort and Cortina MkI & MkII for €5. It's in the window, didn't see it on the shelf.

I'm looking for a good alfa spider, preferably pre 1981. But if anyone has any good alternatives I'm open to suggestions.

Are you looking in Ireland or are you willing to travel?

This is your best supermarket for classics. Well I like the site.

You could try a Triumph Spitfire. There are a couple that are suppose to be recent restorations on the above site. Like them myself.
There are a few nice Alfas there too.

Thanks, I've been watching UK sites, I'm in donegal and while I can't rule our travel and Irish car would be more convenient. Traveled to UK to look at promising stuff before only to be disappointed.
Should have mentioned the obvious spitfire, had one and sold it and would like something different. I've a classic car hire business with an mgb and a tr6 and need car no3.
