It's a bit of a mixed bag. If you've done it before for Leaving cert you'll find it very easy, almost to the point of frustration as 1st year is essentially bringing people's knowledge up to and around the LC level.

2nd year and 3rd year get much more interesting though, as you start to specialize. There's a pretty wide variety, financial, banking, public, health, environmental, advanced economic thought (only go near if you like maths abd PDEs in particular!), comparative, history, game theory, etc. etc. So you should be able to find modules your interested in.

But there are still times when you'll find yourself bored to tears, particularly in the stats related modules, and some of the fundamental macro & micro courses are pretty dry, you'll find yourself going over the same stuff again, just at greater levels of detail.

But if you liked it for LC, overall I think you'll like it for college.

sound, thanks for the info. i'll be doing maths as well so i like that side of it. all the graphs i find easy enough to derive and rememver so i'd say i'll be grand. i was just wondering if it got much tougher than lc in first year since its been a while i was wondering if i'd be able for it. sounds like i will though. thanks again for input.
