    Click on the start button and access the 'my computer' icon there? Or Press and hold the start button on the keyboard and press the letter e.

    Also, what do you mean access? if you double click on it, what happens?

    woops. missed that bit about the start list...
    Start -> Run -> type "Explorer"

    Right Click on the Desktop > Properties > Desktop > Customise Desktop > Tick "My Computer" > OK > OK.
