    Hi all,

I have just bought 2 tickets for Kevin Smith in Vicar Street.
The tickets I got say Stand Row G1 Type A. I think this balcony
but i'm not sure. It also gives seat numbers but it said Standing Balcony when I was buying them.

Anyone know the layout of this place? are they decent tickets?
I know Vicar Street is a good venue but it's a 3 hour show so I hope it isn't standing.

    Any info would be great.

    Cheers.

The balcony is sections D, E and F and goes back as far as row E on the side so they don't look like seated tickets.

They could be standing on the balcony alright.

I know I checked all the seating and standing charts and nothing even refers to Row G1.

I suspect it is standing but it does give me seat numbers on my booking info.

I work quite close I may pop over at lunch and just ask them.

I'm pretty sure thats just an automatic thing that the ticketmaster system does. When i got standing tix for ac/dc in the o2 it gave me seat numbers. I tried to buy 3 kevin smith tickets earlier but only got standing balcony ones so opted not to go for them but a couple of hours later it gave me section a, row a, seats 2 - 4 which seem pretty good but im not too familar with vicar st. Thats the annoying thing with ticketmaster that you can't choose your seats online

    Hey all,

Where did you end up? I just bought Slash tickets and am getting the same thing. Thanks

I ended up standing around the back of the balcony. We could see perfectly but the wonderful Kevin Smith kept going for 4 hours (giggidy) and our feets were getting pretty sore by the end.

them numbers are on all ticketmaster tickets, The G just means general admission (e.g G1 33) and the number following it just means the number of tickets sold at the point of when you purchased

In an ideal world we could pick our seats but how would that work during peak ordering if everyone was picking the same seats. Best available is the the best option at least during the beginning of a sale and for gigs which sell quite quickly.
