Just in case people don't know who Carlos Braithwaite is, he is the Leinster Cricket Club professional and occasionally plays a Pietersen style switch hit.

Ha ha. I'll be there tomorrow supporting Leinster. If Carlos Brathwaite gets stuck
in tomorrow he can change the game very quickly.

Leinster will definitely be without former Ireland captain Jason Molins and current Ireland Under-17 captain and Ireland A player, George Dockrell who is in Canada with the Irish Under-19 team attempting to qualify for next year's U-19 World Cup. J-P O'Dwyer was struggling tonight at training and is unlikely to have recovered from the ankle injury which has kept him out for most of the season.

Peter Johnston, Dave Lucas & Rob Miley are included in the Leinster 13.

I would be shocked if JP didn't play. I think he would play on one leg if necessary.

There is a relatively short boundary to the woods, so all JP needs is four or five overs of "JP batting" and he will change the game.

You couldn't find a batsman to give the tips, Mick, no? :D:D:D

    Leinster win by 27 runs!

    Leinster 265-8 after 50 overs.
    Anton Scholtz 75, JP O'Dwyer 61, Mark Jones 44, Ian O'Herlihy 37.

Andy McBrine 10-2-28-2; Dunn 4-0-27-1; Shaffique 9-0-49-2; James McBrine 7-1-48-0; Junior McBrine 10-1-53-1; McGonigle 10-1-57-2

    Donemana 238 after 48.4 overs.
    Kee 61, Shaffique 55, Boyd 14, Dougherty 13, Andy Mc Brine 13

    Brathwaite 9.4 -1-35-2; Lennon 8-1-29-1; Keneally 5-1-27-0; Miley 9-0-46-4; Scholtz 10-2-38-2; McDonnell 7-0-50-1

Congrats to Leinster on their first All-Ireland win. It's been a fantastic season.

The celebrations will go on late into the night at Leinster. The 1st XI are playing Merrion at home tomorrow. Don't think that there will be many in a fit state for an 11:00 start.

    Ouchie!

And that is why helmets should be obligatory (especially when the bowler is a six foot five (angry) west indian bowling at about 80mph) ...

    Good old-fashioned Caribbean-style chin-music.
