Any new-ish ones are driven by short, plump people.
Next time you see one, have a look at the driver.

I usually don't generalise like this, but maybe there's some reason for this choice of car?

Maybe they spend too much on KFC drive through to be able to afford a Golf? :D

Ah no, seriously, that's a terrible generalisation. Some prefer a vindaloo and a bottle of wife-beater (Stella).

Funny enough, a short plump woman driving a Seat Cordoba knocked me off my bike with her door and broke my collarbone. Had to pay eur970 for a new door. Last time I ever cycled on the footpath...

You paid it?! I wouldn't have. She should have looked before opening her door :P

Guards were involved and what they say goes. She was on a garage forecourt and swung the door out over the adjoining footpath. Nasty.

As far as they're concerned, cyclists go on the road.

It's only the old Cordobas that have fat people at the wheel. The newer model is a bit too 'trendy' to be bought by that market segment.

Ha ha, "trendy" not a description I'd give of the boring Cordoba :D

Colm, you've just described a neighbour of mine. Mid sixties, about 5 foot 2 and plump is a good word to describe him. Also cant drive to save his life

I know a fattish woman who drives one two, I think the car itself looks fat so it fits in with their body image and general lack of self esteem. Ugly cars for ugly people, now the amount of DDG blondes you see in a three series BMW is far above average, particularly well heeled 30+ Milf housewives.

The car is fat because of the NCAP side impact guidelines. All new cars have gotten wider.

Someone should remind Nissan ... the bloody Tiida looks like somone squashed it sideways, the car's so skinny and tall it looks like it should be two foot wider to be in proportion.

Yeah try telling that to the narrow parking spaces.
