Does the same pump used for Hydrolastic suspension work?
There should still be a few of those floating around

Beware on pumping up Hydrasag units.

Adding more fluid corrects the ride height, but usually causes the car to feel rock-hard. This is because the basic problem is that the nitrogen leaks from the upper chamber over the years, thus reducing the springiness of unit. Also, with more fluid in the bottom half, the diaphragm between the gas and fluid parts is stretched, eventually leading to displacer failure.

A fluid pump could be constructed from a grease gun with the appropriate fittings. A second-hand Liquid Levers suspension pump will be around £100 to £150. A brand new pump with vacuum facility must be around £500 now.

Old V L Churchill units are nice if you can find one. ;)

The best way to go about it is to refill the nitrogen in the unit first. Drill out the top and weld/braze a threaded boss to fit a schrader valve to.

Not quite sure what an Aggy unit would have in it (it's in the BL manual somewhere), but the Maxi would of had around 12-13 bar in it when new.

    More info here

Personally, I'd chop it in for a Hydrolastic car, much less hassle! ;)

Thanks for the replies guys, was hoping that i couyld just bring the car somewhere, have it pumped up and be done with it. it's not bad at the minute, car is actually comfortable enough to drive but it'll probably need doing sooner ort later. Car looks to be down slightly on one side.

If anyone else knows anywhere, let me know

I have an old Churchill pump for my Minis but who I think has one and would be a lot closer to you would be Ronan Ward in Oranmore. He used do a lot of Minis and Metros fado fado. There's also Ray Cunningham, Galway Mini Centre who might be able to help you.
