I have a 2 year old Macbook. It's a great machine but the battery is kaput, and I need a new one.

I was quoted 130 in CompuB in Limerick, but is there anywhere online I can get one (genuine) a bit cheaper than that.

Have you tried Apple.ie? Maybe call into one of the resellers. The one in Liffey Valley is the biggest in the country.

Not in Dublin. I was there twice this week so that would have been handy info yesterday!!! :)

    Ebay?

I checked eBay but I'd rather get from somewhere where it's going to be a legit battery. Lot of fakes on eBay.

Can batteries be replaced under warranty?

My MB will be two at Christmas and while the battery isn't kaput the battery isn't nearly as healthy as it used to be. I'm still covered by Applecare.
