    Hi,

I hope someone can help me because I'm very confused. I applied for JSB and while it was being processed I was offered a trial job without payment. I tried out the job and it didn't work out so I was let go and the manager gave me some money and I was very grateful. My JSB came through the next week and I have been receiving it while looking for work since (about 8 weeks). I got a call from the manager this morning saying they had processed the money she had given me through their wages as they had to 'balance their books'. She didn't have my pps no. but had my name and address and has forwarded my P45 to me and the revenue office.

What do I do now? As it looks like I was working and claiming at the same time. Do I contact the SW and repay what I was given for the week I 'worked"?
I'm really worried no any help is appreciated

Do you have evidence to say you had been offered the job as a trial. If you can prove that you did not expect to get paid for the trial you can explain this to the social welfare people.

hindsight can be 20/20 vision, but you should have notified them of the trial at the time.
