    anyone know of one closer than dublin

    having just got back from the physio with a torture session on my hamstring tendon 2 weeks off the bike :(

    just wondering if there was anywhere nearer just to check over the fit (think i'm about right at the moment tbh . but a second opinion would put my mind at rest

    McConvey cycles in Belfast do the Specialized BGFit system which I have heard good reports about (in England). I went to London (Retul Fit) for my fitting and it was the best money I have ever spent. I have very tight hamstrings and that meant that I had to have a more upright riding position.

    Saddle down, shorter reach bars and smaller drop, saddle forward. Small changes - huge difference.

    I've done more riding this year than I done in the previous 5 combined and no injuries since - except for my own sideways topple which meant a sprained hand over a month off the bike. My problem manifested in my knees which made me think cleats however my cleat position was as perfect as it gets I was told - very little deviation throughout the whole pedal stroke.

    I wouldn't ever consider any fitting system that didn't include an off the bike flexibility test as any problems in flexibility or strange limb angles will affect what a good position for you will be.

    Yeah that's the one. The guys married to a girl from Kilkeel so turns out he does a bit of riding over here when over visiting the wife's family.
