hey people hope you can help me. I am losing the plot here with my internet. Trying to connect to my wireless network and i keep getting the following message,
The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. My niece was playing around with my computer and now i can't connect to it. If anyone can help me i would really appreciate it. I know i shouldn't have let her play with it and its definitely a lesson learnt.

Sound like your password or wep/wpa settings have been changed!

Take it your running vista do the below
Go to Network and Sharing Center, and click on Manage wireless networks (to the left under Tasks)

Remove your network from the list

Exit and try connecting to it again. You'll have to put in the password again as if connecting to it for the first time.

Good advice, i would've done the same thing , there's also a chance she could've messed around with the router settings , so you can check them out if you know what your doing

Ok open a web browser, type 192.168.1.254, click on wireless the on left . You see weather the encryption is WEP or WAP. there should be a code that contains both letter and numbers.

Remove your network , then reconnect, and type that number in to the box that come up.
