Does anyone know of any good places around Clane area where I could fly a model plane? Got one as a present and need a place to learn to fly it.

there is a big club in Newbridge and another in Prosperous.
Joining a club is the best (and cheapest!) way to learn

On the Curragh, just outside Kildare on the Miltown road, Never a weekend passes without planes out there. don't fly one myself but it's great to watch em. you'll see them from the road.

There is a simulator you can get, it's a dvd and you learn to fly your plane before you take it out. It's well worth it as if you crash your plane well it's buggered isn't it. The simulator really trains you and you get used to using the controls.
