Major Gmail Outage. Time To Go Back To Mymail.tcd.ie?

    This is not the first time it's happened either. Also, Trinity email has been disrupted on more than one occasion since the move to google. And I don't want a portal when I access "myzone.tcd.ie" - I just want to check my email. Why can't ISS run a server with roundcube email? That's what they do, right?

    I'll defer to better technological understandings on some points but if you use mytmail.tcd.ie there is no portal to go through.

    myzone.tcd.ie was even less reliable back in the day no? TCD mail by Google is one of the good things about the college, you get to keep your email for life, very handy for contacting old classmates and friends, even if its been superseded by facebook. The large inbox is great too, you do remember we only had 100MB with the old system, and that filled up fairly quickly with junk and huge attachments that were often sent out.

    Having previously used http://mail.google.com/a/tcd.ie , I now disown it and pledge all allegiance to the mighty shorter and more simple URL of http://mytmail.tcd.ie

    Tbh, firefox autocomplete makes it just as easy to type either. Or have a bookmark button.

    DCU and St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra will be using Google Apps from next week. Apart from Gmail, what other Google apps are available to TCD students?

    Calendar. And I think docs was on the way, but I honestly haven't logged in in sooo long to bother checking.
