    Chorus sagem tv box.

Set tv screen size from 4/3 to 16/9.
    Everything ok.
    Turn off power.

    Turn on power.
    Setting reset to 4/3.

Rang Chorus -> they said I need to keep the box plugged in all the time to maintain the setting. First time I've ever had to do this.

This seems crazy to me. I need to keep an electrical device plugged in all the time to maintain a setting!!!

(There was a network upgrade in the area. I got a new box. The old box did not have this problem.)

I have the same set top box and notice this problem anytime I use the s.t.b. remote to switch off the television. If, I use the t.v. remote to turn off and unplug the set top box, it has stored the widescreen settings when I switch it back on.

Great - thanks - I tried that and it worked! i.e. Just pull the plug on the STB rather than use the on/off on the remote. Thanks again.
