Sorry if this has been covered already, in a panic, my iphone suddenly in the last 4 days, the battery is only last an hour or so. I know they are not marvelous at the best of time but I was getting a day and a half to 2 days up to that. I am not a massive user, wireless and 3g would be on, its less than a year old, no maint contract. But they have always been on. Is the battery knackered and if so where can I get it replaced. Any advice ....

Apple will replace it for you but they charge something like $99 for it. Dunno how it works in euros.

Where did you hear that? If it's less than a year old it's still under warranty. OP, you should try a restore first, if it just started happening 'suddenly' it suggests it might be due to something you've installed recently.

If the phone is under warranty and you're with O2, then you should be able to get it replaced under warranty for free. If it's not in warranty or sourced from somewhere else, you may not be able to get any warranty service here from Apple, even for a fee. I think there are some stores around Dublin that do replacement batteries but I don't have any first hand experience with them so someone else will have to chime in.

Another solution would be to use an external battery pack - the Morphie Juice packs are a pretty neat solution:

Thanks guys I'll try a restore this evening..... I Checked and it is still under warranty until Oct althugh it wasn't bought in Ireland. If the restore doesn't work, will I have problems because of the fact it wasn't bought here.
