    Hi,
    check out www.iherb.com

shipping is only $4 and comes in 7 days to your door. no issues with customs as an post handles it.
Ive used it many times so far no problems, good cheap prices , many brands and product choices.

Use this code at checkout for a $5 discount, essentially getting you free shipping, code is: FIT211

Hope this is what you're looking for, the home page is a bit bland looking, but just use the search bar or categories links and you'll find it all.

myprotein.co.uk have a decent range of supplements too. www.bulkpowders.co.uk is worth a look too.

iherb is recommended in many threads. There is a code for myprotein in my signature below, I have also used bulkpowders and was happy with both. There is a thread on sports supplements here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055324792

Many of those shops sell vitamins & minerals.

http://www.evergreen.ie/ is an Irish based shop. Prices aren't knockdown cheap but delivery is free on orders over €30 and they always include a 10% off discount code. With that and currency conversions factored in they don't compare badly on price with lots of online stores. Anytime I've used them I've got my order 2 days later by courier which can be very handy. They're very helpful too.Anytime I've emailed looking for something that wasn't advertised on the site they put it up immediately for me.

I also like www.iherb.com as mentioned here but you do need to be careful not to exceed €28 per order inc delivery. I know of one person who was stung by customs on a large order although I've always been lucky in the past myself.

    you're welcome.

hey chilly, is that a customs import rule or something about the 28 euro amount?
because i always put in orders from iherb of about $60 and no problems so far...?

Actually I was wrong about the sum of €28. It's actually all purchases over €22 including delivery that can attract import charges.

From PN 1882 Ordering Goods over the Internet or from Mail Order Catalogues from a country outside the European Community (EC):
Consignments not exceeding a total value of €150 may be imported from outside the EC without payment of Customs Duty, while consignments not exceeding a total value of €22 may be imported without payment of VAT
    http://www.revenue.ie/en/customs/leaflets/pn1882.html

I have bought around €60 worth of stuff from iherb in the past too and have not been charged but I know one person who ordered €100 worth and was caught. I suppose it's luck of the draw.

I've used www.evergreen.ie too and the prices are very good for an Irish retail store. The 10% off and free delivery adds up too. I needed advice and they came back to me really quickly. Even if it's not listed on the site they normally stock it in one of their shops so it's available for sale. Love their shops though and normally end up going into the shops instead.

I had a package arrive form iherb.com today and customs had checked it but on delivery, no payment was due, and it was a $41 order.
So thats more than the stated limit in chillys post.....

They were probably just checking it for anything illegal, no worries there, the box was marked nutritional supplements for personal use.
So I'll stick with ordering through the economy airmail method.

He was still correct though, just to be clear. The limit is €22 and that includes the postage. So in theory if you bought a €2 item and spent €20 on post you are liable, -again in theory. The limit is €45 for gifts. In reality it would be rare to be charged on items below €45. In fact I have seen at least 2 customs spokemen on the RTE news saying the limit is €45 and made no mention of the gift thing. Fact is there has been a big increase in internet trading so 1000's of packages come in each day and there must not be enough staff to process it all. The administration costs involved are probably not worth collecting the VAT on €22 worth of goods.

But it is still luck of the draw, they might get a slow day. I have gotten stuff marked as $350 through to me. I get it sent to my workplace as nobody is home to collect, I think customs might think I will be claiming the VAT back as business use, even though it is for personal use. So I think they are wasting government money & time collecting VAT when we will claim it back.

Also some nutritional supplements might be exempt from any VAT. And it is best to stick to your economy postage since it could be the tipping point to put you over the limit. I do anecdotally think they ignore postage in valuing the goods but will add it on when calculating VAT. e.g. the limit is €45, if you bought €40 of goods and €20 postage they will probably ignore it as being under €45. But if you got €55 of goods and €5 postage they would more likely catch you and charge VAT on the combined €60 value.
