Barcelona around New Years

Hi, I'm thinking about heading away after Christmas for 4 or 5 nights and I was thinking of Barcelona. Has anyone been there at that time of the year and what can we expect? I know it won't be hot & sunny but will it be dry and not too cold?

I was there New Years Eve 2005 and it actually was hot and sunny. Sunglasses and Tshirt weather - I don't know if that was a particularly freaky late December for them or not.
