    Picked up my vw caddy there on friday and somehow the front bonnet is marked already :(

    It's like I was driving behind a trust full of small tiny stones and you know the way they fall off but was no where near a truck since i bought it.

    Anyway, its a metallic blue and it looks horrible now that it happened, for some reason I think it was the car washing guy who use the power hose up too close, perhaps that marked it?

    Would anyone know the price of respraying a bonnet, keeping in mind its metallic paint.

    Cheers,
    Tom

    You probably wont need to respray it at all. Rub some compound on it and see does it fix it up.

    Sorry complete newbe here. What do you mean by compound and what are the chances it may stain or make the issue worse?

    rubbing compound, you can get it in halfords it basicly buffs up your paint and can remove scratches/marks. Shouldnt make the issue any worse once you follow the instructions.

    ^found that to be usefull when I did it.

    You run a high chance of dulling the paint if you try to remove stains or the likes by hand. The paint might like OK-ish, but when the sun shines it will look awful. Similar to this;

    OP - If you take a pic tomorrow (if the sun shows itself!) we should be able to help you find the best solution!
