Falcon, leaving us in the lurch

So I booked a holiday to the Algarve with falcon back in May, scheduled for the last week in sept.

I hadnt recevied the tickets yet, so rang them today. turns out there were not enough seats sold on the flight to bring us there so our holiday is cancelled!!

They said they sent a letter to me in June informing me of this. I confirmed my addresss as being correct, but never recieved a letter.

Now as its almost the end of the season, there are bugger all holidays left to pick from. Normally Id give the company an earfull, vote with my feet and take my money elsewhere but as there is nothing left anywhere, i have nothing to do but take the crap they have left, or not go on holiday.

Im disgusted with Falcon and would like to warn other folks that although falcon are ok when there are no complications, when it comes to sorting out issues they suck.

Falcon are an awful shower of feckers. I for one will never deal with them again. We (my friends & I) had a holiday booked to Ibiza. We had up to the end of June to pay off the holiday and we were all putting money aside and pay it off the final week before the deadline. We got a letter sent out at the start of May stating that "this is the final warning" and we had to pay by Friday May8. The letter also stated that they had sent out 2 other notices to pay up. They hadn't. We told them to **** off (politely of course), and they kept each of our €50 deposits. They had threatened legal action for the full payment, but we had read the small print :D. Ended up going to Aiya Napa for cheaper than Ibiza with Budget in the end.

    Don't use Falcon!!

You will get good deals in Portugal by booking direct, Ryanair fly to Faro several times a week. Still loads of bargains available.
