My guess is that they do their own warranty work - they do still have a fairly large service area.

nope, they give third party warranties with secondhand cars

Bought a car from Maxwell in December and got the Lumley warranty. I asked them to extend it by another year which they organised and I paid for it. Price is based on the engine size (according to sales in Maxwells).

1 year extension cost me €500 for a 3L car.
