New car radio

For some reason, the tape in my car (Seat Leon 2001) has started acting up, meaning that I can no longer listen to my iPod through the casette adaptor. I have an iTrip FM transmitter for it too, but the sound quality isn't up to much.

Anyway, I decided I would like to buy a new car stereo. It should either have a usb interface that allows me to connect and listen to my iPod or it should be bluetooth enabled and compatible with my iPod (iPod touch 2nd gen, OS 3).

I have never bought a new car stereo before, inquired about it or seen one fitted. Are all stereos a standard size or do i need specific requirements for my car?
Also, anyone got a good value bluetooth or usb iPod compatible car stereo that they would recommend?

    Thanks

    G

ZOMG!!! I just did this last week! Go to Halfords they have a sale at the mo. They are all a standard size. You will need an aeriel adaptor too if you wanna listen to the radio, it's only 5euro though. DO NOT by the bracket to surround the stereo in Halfords it's 30euro! It is only trim, the new radio will be secure without it. When you have it intstalled and you wanna finish it perfectly, then buy the part of eBay (~10euro delivered). You are looking for an Autoleads facia plate, i think the seriel number is FP18000 or something.
